With literally all the focus on NE this game is a clear trap for us. I think we lose a close one in Oakland. How do we avoid this fate?

It's Marrone's job to stress how important this game is and keep the team focused.

Bills beat Oakland.
Why? Because this is Buffalo and everything has to end in the most painful way possible. What's the most painful way?
Bills beat Oakland. Bills go into NE with a must win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Bills have a slight lead at halftime. With nothing left to play for, Bellicheck pulls most of his starters for the 2nd half. NE's back ups stick it to us and we lose behind 3 second half touchdown passes from Ryan Mallet. Everything else goes our way and a win would have put us in the playoffs.
Bills trade 2016 first round draft pick for Ryan Mallet. In 2015 the D is ranked 3rd in the league but we go 4-12 behind the 32nd ranked O.

I think Marrone is still coaching for his job.
If he splits these ;last two games, he stays. If not, he goes.
But I'll tell you this, if they lose to the Raiders, they'll be mailing it in against the Pats, and that may be all the excuse Terry needs to go out and find a high dollar coach.
Had to look it up, apparently it's Jimmy Garoppolo. Rookie from Eastern Illinois.

Yeah, that sounds like the kind of guy Buffalo would lose their playoff hopes to.
As long as Walt Coleman is not the referee I think we're in good shape.

Are there rules against official's crews being assigned the same division match-up twice in the same season?

That SD win really hurt our chances. Our AFC record has done us in, especially losing to SD and KC. Keep this defense intact, build a legit O-line and I think that puts us over the hump next year. We play the AFC South next year which is weaker and the NFC East which is stronger but we traditionally have been able to split. Our other AFC draws will be better teams next year, but beatable, like KC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland.
Pittsburgh and Bills win out, Cincinnati loses two, and KC beats or ties San Diego and we're in.
