Orton sucks. Always has. Even when we won was despite him.
Bye bye Uncle Rico.

We better hurry and extend him long term.
Ive been saying that since we signed him...

We are 5 offensive starters from being a playoff team, one being Qb.
This game wasnt on Orton. The OL blew. Orton did what he could do with no running game and a rookie in his face

Orton's deeper balls aren't any better than EJ's.

I don't know watching Orton you just wonder. There's a reason he been around 0.500 for his NFL career. Maybe he just is mediocre and just not good enough. I was hesitant after the first TD drive and looks like I had a right to be. That said I know we have holes to fill on the offense but right now am angry at Orton for his horrible play after that first drive in the 1st, 2nd and most of the 3rd quarters today.
It wasn't entirely on Orton. I've been loud in saying he's the best bridge guy we could have. I have trouble with it now besides saying he might be least worst.
He's just been declining steadily for one reason or another. Maybe it's Hackett, maybe Downing, maybe Orton, or any combo of the three, but he hasn't really elevated the offense in any sense, so the marriage is just not gonna work.
Realistically, Manuel can probably be ineffective or dink and dunk or make poor plays about as well while running around a little bit better, and Orton just didn't play an important inspiring veteran game when it was time to.
Team wide junk effort sure, but I've become not so sure what benefits Orton brings to the table any more.
Why does this team refuse to give Manuel a chance? Dude was 2-2 with a QBR north of 80 and was yanked. Yet you gave Drew Bozo four seasons.
It isn't all on him but he was still truly bad. I counted 5 throws alone where he had time and completely missed his wide open targets. His stats are going to hide the mistakes, but if you use the QBR method, he'll likely be at in the bottom 5 again. He missed at critical times and in critical field positions. He needs to go.

Give me specific names. Who exactly is Buffalo going to bring in that is an upgrade over Orton and how will they be obtained. If it is a draft pick, that obviously means that Orton needs to stay.
You're not getting it X. I've claimed Orton is a back up but there's a bigger problem than him . With last years running game and Orton being there during camp, we're in the playoffs. With this years OL , we suck no matter who we have at qb.
Inspite of Orton's collective crappy play this year, the passing game was still better than the running game all year long.
