Get Rid of Series update

List of prior threads and their status. I'll admit may have jumped the gun on Mario, although I am still 100% behind his getting some kind of restructure. He's been great at times, but he's not a consistent game disruptor like a JJ Watt, and makes probably 2x more (don't know for sure, need to fact check)

Leodis makes too many huge mistakes at the worst times to offset his otherwise good play. It's been a trend/pattern for his entire career, so I don't think it's ever going to change. So imo, he's more of a liability for them than an asset when you weigh it all out.

He no longer makes more then Watt, Watt's extension surpassed Mario. It might be a few years before the biggest salaries kick in though.

Fair enough, but if even, who would you rather have? Watt is special, plays 100% on every down, changes games on a consistent basis....with all that I think he is worth what he's getting paid (in NFL world anyway) Just feel that Mario is simply not worth tying up all that cap. Fair enough, but if even, who would you rather have? Watt is special, plays 100% on every down, changes games on a consistent basis....with all that I think he is worth what he's getting paid (in NFL world anyway) Just feel that Mario is simply not worth tying up all that cap. Of course I would rather have Watt, he's younger and better. But he's not available, and if the choice is having Mario vs. having cap space, I'd want Mario. You'd run into the same problem with most other free agents - they are paid based on scarcity. Multiple pro bowl pass rushers in their 20's almost never hit the market, and ones willing to entertain an offer from Buffalo are rarer still.

Yeah Spiller is as good as gone. Sad really as think he's talented and a nice kid but not good enough here. Yet wouldn't shocked to seem him sign in Indy or excel next year. That said hindsight being it is I'd love to seen us taken Dez Bryant over CJ in that draft and keep Lynch.

I thought he was only guaranteed $2.196 in base salary for the 2015 season.

Yeah, I thought Spiller had a player option for 2015. He'd be stupid not to exercise it, give himself a one year audition to try and convince a team to overpay him.
