    The resident Phins fans perspective...

    First off....Some surprise comings and goings. Gone - Leon Searcy. This is a bit of a surprise to me. The Phins gave Leon an injury settlement instead of holding on to him. With the depth/injury problems of the O-line we are taking a gamble that someone else does not sign him. If he is still available, we can resign him after week 10. Unless there is a very good QB prospect, I think we take an O-linemen in the draft next April. ...MORE...


    Patriots Perspective, week #1 Pats Pummel Steel

    Las Vegas and most of the general public were obviously not too impressed with the defending Super Bowl champs. In fact, the over/under for Patriot victories in Vegas this year was 8.5. For those of you who are not math majors, it's pretty simple; the pundits thought they'd go 8-8 or 9-7 at best this season. Why? The Pats returned 20 of 22 starters and significantly upgraded their talent at 4 (four) positions during the off-season, TE, WR. DB and DL. Yet the Rodney Dangerfield's of the NFL still found themselves slated to finish 2nd or 3rd in a 4 team division this, according to all the major NFL publications. ...MORE...

    Jets All-Pro running back Curtis Martin’s status was upgraded to probable for Sunday’s game with New England after practicing Friday afternoon in Hempstead. But the decision on his game availability is in the hands of New York Head Coach Herman Edwards. Local sources say he is probably going to start but how effective and / or for how long is up in the air. It will be a gametime decision. ...MORE...

      I dont know how you can call a team that won the superbowl, then is the underdog in both of their first two games, overrated.
