    Stan Mikita

Came in with the 1958-59 Blackhawks. Finished with the 1979-80 Blackhawks.

    Family says he has dementia:

Scored 39 goals in the '63-'64 season.

Scored 36 goals in the '74-'75 season.

Who does that 11 years apart?

    Re: Stan Mikita

    One of my childhood heros.

The guy was a soccer player in his hometown, and then moved to Canada.

He was 9 years old, when he lied about his age, and tried out - and made - a 12-year old youth hockey team.

I learned to how take face-offs from Mikita. He also invented the curved stick.

Prayers to the family, he was a great one.

Well, line me up and knock me over with a Stan Mikita doughnut, I did not know that.

    Great power tools too! ;-)
Lehner's history. He just doesn't know it yet.
