The Sabres should really continue to thumb their nose at the NHL by making the favourable condition to Dallas be that the Sabres end up in last place.
Every contract is an expiring contract to you just as every Sabres prospect will be a star.
In the end, what the Sabres traded today were worth a fraction of what you thought they were worth.
So basically, you don't care about the specifics as long as it suits your trolling agenda. Got it.

The pick is a 3rd rounder, Sabres now have a 3rd round pick Third round was the only round the Sabres didn't have a pick in.

Enroth won the Sabres some games this year when he was hot otherwise the gap between Buffalo and Edmonton would have been much more than the current 4 points.
When you compare the 2 teams, the gap should be much larger.
Enroth kept it closer.
They can re-sign Enroth in the offseason.

Lindback is a career 36-43-5 .901 2.84 goalie
Enroth is a career 38-56-14 .910 2.92 goalie
Completely lateral move. Enroth wasn't gonna win this team a couple more games than Lindback would.
Extra draft pick. Sabres will lose regardless of who's between the pipes.

I can see that point even though 3rd round picks are generally meaningless in the NHL.
Just the way the Sabres have chosen to become a last place team for 2 years running.
