Well Grigs could be done for the season

isn't there any pads out there that protect players ankles or shins?

Grigs took a shot from Wisniewski in the second per. that hit him :toilet: on the ankle and now he might be lost for the rest of the season. So my question aren't there shin guards out there to protect players ankles from being "blownup" by shots? Lacrosse players wear shin pads and my little 8 yr. old sister plays soccer and she straps pads on her legs and puts her socks on over the top or does the NHL think it's illegal equipment? or is because players have too much pride?

Skates are hard, protecting the foot. Players wear Shin/knee pads.. if it hits you right, it doesn't matter.

Girgenson's season could be over...Ennis (lower body)

    Mike Harrington @BNHarrington · 7m7 minutes ago

Nolan admits Girgensons' season could be over. "We're concerned for sure. We'll cross our fingers and hope things work out." #Sabres

    Mike Harrington @BNHarrington · 4m4 minutes ago

Nolan said Ennis (lower body) will also be evaluated. "Wear and tear"...Not nearly as much of an issue as 28...Could be few days. #Sabres

We need a 3rd thread on this subject for it to be considered seriously.

They are doing this on purpose!

I think Risto and Bogosian are playing well, they're next!

    And dump Neuvirth

Re: Well Grigs could be done for the season

Toronto and Arizona are definitely in full tank mode. Columbus started the worst goalie I have seen in years against buffalo yesterday. I think Arizona will be a big threat to finish in last place. They have one win in 10 games and that was via shoutout. They have been outscored 35-14 it's last 10 games. They have not traded any of their best players.
Losing Girgs definitely hurts Buffalo but Arizona I could see only winning one or two more games this season with two games against Buffalo. If Neuvirth is not traded Buffalo has a very realistic chance of drafting third.

Clearly Neuvirth needs a rest. Start Lindback.

why trade neuvirth. can't we put him on a physically disabled list so that his season is effectively over but we retain his rights?

also, i say we let certain season ticket holders pay for the experience to be an NHL Goaltender for a game. you get to keep the glove and jersey and get signatures from the entire team. Monetize something and end up dead last. and let's face it, everyone else is jumping on the come in dead last mode. this is going to take some creativity.

i think my goalie for a day experience goes for $1000 at minimum.

He is an unrestricted Free Agent after the season.

Have they had talks with him yet?

If not, Murray is a an absolute moron, What other options do they have??

You think he rather stay on a team where he could be the starter, Or would he be happy to leave and be a #2??

All jokes aside, It's has to be a concern that all of these FA want to bolt,Rebuild or not.

I was aiming towards his comment about Grigs getting hurt as a good thing.

Remember, It's a lotto system, The NHL picks the winner...And that's why I hate the system, It allows the NHL to help build franchises.
