All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

very interesting stuff on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio: Faceoff
with the Ducks announcing today that goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov will return to his family home in Philadelphia and not play for the remainder of the regular season. The Ducks are said to be interested in Sabres Neuverth.
If Murray moves neuvirth for a third or lower round pick, I'll be pissed. Neuvirth has looked the part of a starter going forward. I get it, they wanna get something for an expiring contract. Don't give away neuvirth. Hes worth resigning.
I've always maintained that this was a result of a complete and necessary dismantling of the team. It's an intentional unintentional tank, if you will. Those free agents weren't coming back so it was necessary to move them for assets, and being bad was expected as a result. But! It's not like they are stashing useful assets in the AHL or whatever, so I've never truly considered it tanking.
Murray is always one step ahead he knows all these prospects like the back of his hand,
Murray may have the upper hand over other NHL teams in negotiations with O'Connor and his agent. Murray has a dramatic need to add a starting goaltender. There have been reports that O'Connor is interesting in signing with an NHL team that will allow him to play right away this season rather than reporting to an AHL affiliate. Murray has a soon-to-be-open crease. The NHL trade deadline is Monday March 2 and Murray said earlier this week that he hasn't gotten any trade calls on his starting goalie Michal Neuvirth. I'm told that Anaheim, San Jose and Montreal are interested in Neuvirth. We will see about that in the days to come. Murray also said that he isn't planning to speak to Neuvirth's representatives until after the 3pm trade deadline comes on Monday. In other words, if an NHL team wants to make a trade for the pending UFA goalie, Murray's phone is on and he's ready to talk turkey.
Losing Neuvirth would not be a bad thing for the Sabres. Murray can leverage the asset and get a player and a second rounder for him. He's not going to let his pending UFAs skate away without getting maximum compensation for them. The Sabres have two towering goalie prospects in Sweden right now in Linus Ullmark and Jhonas Johanssen. They are not ready to make a leap to the NHL right now. It begs the question:
Is O'Connor ready to play under the bright lights and high pressure of the NHL? Well, there's only one way to find out, isn't there? What's the harm in signing this hidden gem to a contract and then letting him play of the string of the final 22 games for Buffalo this season? Their goal is to finish 30th overall, not make the playoffs.

The 2015 draft is what set the wheels in motion for the dismantle, No ones going to arrest you for admitting it.

I think that was a big huge part of it. But we also gotta admit that the past core needed to be dismantled too. But yeah, this draft is the centerpiece to the rebuild. No denying that.
I didn't mind Pysyk being on the farm and now he is up with the big club due to neccesity..For example Mezaros has been awful and its been good for tank reasons but Pysyk was in Rochester a long time and likely would have played better than Mezaros throughout the year
