Roman couldn't get production out of him in SF.. why would he want him back?

Yeeeeaaaaaah. I would much rather have Roscoe v2.0 or Short of the first every time Chris Hogan instead of Stevie. Get real people.

Yes. Stevie is a good slot receiver and intermediate route runner. He would be cheap and he is comfortable here. I think he would produce.

Stevie is a major league idiot.

There's reason why the 49ers took a nose dive this year and don't want him back.

Only a fool would want this self-centered mediocrity back in town...

Same reporter that says 49ers trying to get Harvin from us also says the Patriots are targeting Stevie Johnson.

Me too but SJ13 as a Patriot could be a scary thing as think he's better than Amendola.

Heard from Stevie's camp. He is in love with SD. Wanted to sign Friday but his agent wanted him to see what NE had to offer. My money is on SD. To high of a hill to climb in NE behind Brady's Boys and Lafell.

I would love to see what he could in San Diego with Phil Rivers throwing to him.

Then you could watch him drop 20 yard passes, as opposed to the 10 yard passes the Bills toward him.

    This again...

I remember when people were clamoring that it would be great to see what Lee Evans could do with a real QB.

Here's what Stevie will do...nothing. Because he no longer is the main and only option in the passing offense.

Just because he might not produce on the field doesn't mean he will do nothing. You forget that this is a guy who soaked up knowledge from Terrell Owens like a freaking sponge. There's every reason to believe Stevie can be a great tutor to a young receiver who's willing to learn from a former #1 guy. That's why I'd be open to bringing him back to Buffalo, so guys like Woods and Watkins can learn from him.

I hate to see the Patriots snatch up anyone who have been productive in the past. They have a qb who can make anyone look good. Chandler and Stevie have been productive with qb's like Trent/ Fitz. They may not be catching as much but they can still catch enough to hurt.

The Patriots actually know how to use a TE. Chandler will be no better than 2nd on their depth chart-likely 3rd- so he won't put up ridiculous numbers but he will help. And the Patriots have gotten production out of guys who aren't nearly as good as Stevie.

I don't mind either one of them not being in Buffalo anymore, but I could see how they could be dangerous in NE.

Because the Chargers need a guy who can tutor their young receivers? Antonio Gates and Malcolm Floyd who have both been in the NFL for a decade are unable to do that? Stevie will be there for a year, become buried on the depth chart, maybe catch 20 passes and be released...again.
