Can we trade him for Joe Flacco?
That's who we should have drafted in teh first place.

Kiko thinks trading Leodis for anything other then a 2nd rounder would be silly..
Buffalo does have Robey and Graham but Leodis can definitely play #2 with Gilmore, he has improved every year since his rookie year.
WILL NOT REMOVE THIS UNTIL SHADY IS SUPERBOWL MVP!!!

With McKelvin we have three guys (him, Gilmore and Graham) that can step in and play the top two spots, plus a solid nickel in Robey. Cockrell and/or Butler should move up in place of Brooks. That gives us six that can play, maybe add a rookie or cheap FA, but I wouldn't deal McKelvin. FWIW, I'd re-sign Thigpen anyway and relieve Leodis of return duties.

McKelvin is worth a box of practice tees.
Who the hell is gonna trade for him and give up anything for him?
just cut him and get more space. He's not that good anyway

You raise an interesting topic. McK sort of reminds me of CIN's TE Gresham - both picked #1 in the 1st half of their draft classes, and both really not justifying their selection positions.
McK's contract won't be bought by any team via a trade. I can't see BUF just dumping him - he's a fair CB, is decent in the return game, and who do they have in the pipeline to replace him?

Fiat justitia ruat caelum. Noli timere. Laus Deo.
Do you not remember the last 15 years of the bills not having a legit Corner after McGee got hurt every year? Good teams have depth.. It's actually nice having a few respectable corners on the team

You can never have enough corners...........why create a hole when our backup corners are Brooks, Robey and Cockrell?

McKelvin finally played some good football last year on a reasonable contract.
Why get rid of him?
I imagine his return opportunities will be drastically reduced this year.

McKelvin signed a contract that was more than fair to the Bills to remain a Buffalo Bill.
McKelvin wanted to remain a Buffalo Bill.
What kind of message would it send to the other players when their contact is up to trade McKelvin now?
Why should any Bills player resign with Buffalo if they KNOW the Bills will just turn around & trade them?
He's played well for 3 years in a row and is somehow still improving. He's going to be the 32nd highest paid CB in the league this year, the guys ahead of him are:
I think he compares favourably to most on that list. And more importantly, it's really hard to find guys of that calibre, even harder if you will be signing them to be the 3rd CB. We have 3 CBs that can start, and two that can rock the slot.
