1. I was honored to be on the same field with Thurman Thomas, whose football equal I am definitely not.

It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I went with Shaw because Joe D left for Cleveland.

I worked pt in a stereo store back in the glory days. (helped pay for our seats)
I sold him a tuner, it was about 179 bucks.
His girlfriend had to show him which denominations of money he had to give me to pay for it.
I gotta be honest, I was floored.
I had seen quite a bit when I worked in Philly, like people who could not fill out a job application and the like.
But a college grad....from a good school?

Incidentally....a lot of the Bills used to shop at this store for their electronic goodies.
I sold a camcorder to Coach Elijah Pitts and his wife.
I was drooling over his Super Bowl I ring.
He took it off and let me try it on. Too bad this was in the day before cellphone selfies.
When Jim Kelly came in, they opened up the store early just for him and his family.

Yikes. I'm more surprised he was able to make it through High School without those basic math skills. I'm never surprised that these guys learn nothing in College. I'm sure they had people doing their homework and taking their tests, especially back in the day when Nate was in College.
