Re: Season Tickets Sales Around 53,000 and Climbing

I'm proud to say I officially became a season ticket holder for next season. Its my first year back since leaving right after high school, and its my first opportunity. Has absolutely nothing to do with any of the moves the bills have made, I just had to take the opportunity now that I have it.

GM's never tell stories, prior to the draft.

I doubt it but we'll see.

OL pool is quite good into the later rounds. But a starter type can be had in rounds 2 & 3.

Why would you draft a developmental anything early over a possible starter ?

Well, I would not be surprised if the Bills used one of those picks on the OL, but I would be surprised if they used both the 2nd & 3rd rnd picks on the OL.

I wouldn't be surprised but more OL can be had later on Saturday. C/G types like Finney of Kansas St., Garcia of Florida, Dieffenbach of Penn St. and Mason of Georgia Tech. Solid backups who could start if needed and can play both C/G. There's actually several of these types out there who have NFL ability.

Taken a RB in the draft to replace Spiller.
I'm glad they re-signed Hughes, but it wasn't as much of a necessity under Rex as it would have been under Schwartz. Kind of another luxury signing in all honesty.
Cassel was about the best we could hope for, and I'm OK bringing in Taylor pretty cheap.
The Bills offered money to Bulaga because they obviously see a need for an upgrade. Limiting their options to two guys was the stupid part.
We still need a TE that can block.
Incognito is a risk worth taking, Harvin got a lot of money for a gadget guy.

I certainly don't mind them spending money, but just like the last 20 years they could have spent the money more wisely.
none of those moves or none moves would make us better on paper. Imagine replacing Spiller with an unproven rookie. Are you nuts?

OP whined about not replacing Poz and Jeff Posey, imagine what he would say if we lost Hughes?
Imagine what he would have said if the bills didn't at least try to sign Bulaga? "we're not even trying to get better"
We had a TE that could block, but Lee Smith was considered to be a bum here.

I agree on Harvin being a gadget guy but having a gadget still makes us better than not having one.

FYI Not replacing Poz or Posey was a mistake. As mediocre as those guys were, it took us 2-3 years to recover at LB. You don't seem to realize that cutting dead weight is only half of the solution. The other half is signing someone equal or better (in both those cases, we needed better) and the FO failed both times.

It's hard to argue with this.

I would have given up Hughes, Kiko, Clay, and all of our draft picks this year for Rivers. If you believe Whaley, most of the draft picks won't make the team anyway.

If I recall correctly, and I may not be, I believe we offered Poz a good deal, but he took off anyway.

You are correct. The FO wanted to keep him but he didn't want to play in Pettine's 3-4 so he walked.

Justa and I went back and forth on this a lot because I always thought Poz was overrated and didn't want him back. But the FO wanted him and failed to keep him.
