NHL sees a huge financial commitment from them & blesses them with McDavid, all hidden in the mix to make this look fair. The Oilers have been abysmal recently and spent all that money on the come ?? I highly doubt it.

You spend money & you get rewarded, they sure looked like a team that didn't care to lose & played to win all the time. Makes me believe that this was already set in stone for them to win, trying to add legitimacy to the whole process. This whole event was held in Canada & won by a Canadian team, lets not all get amnesia here.

There was an independant firm overseeing the draw. Would they put their reputation on the line so the Oilers can get another pick? Doubt it. Edmonton needed a new rink. The owner is a billionaire. Not a stretch as to how the rink came to happen. These conspiracy theories are ridiculous.
