Interesting in that article he mentions the Sabres drafting 3rd overall next year and drafting Jakob Chychrun. Im not suggesting the sabres tank again but adding Chychrun to the mix would be something else.. The top of the 2016 draft isn't as good as 2015 but it isnt bad either.. Auston Mathews would go 3rd overall this year and Chychrun is very close to the Ekblad/Hanfian level..

This is what's been lost in the whole tank discussion. Yeah, the Sabres have sucked, but they've also been accumulating and developing a hell of a young talent pool.
