The game in Virginia tomorrow might be tougher than predicted.

Re: 2015 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football thread

Zaire goes down in the 3rd Quarter and Kizer comes in and throws that game winning TD with 12 seconds left. What a ending!

Also the D looked like complete crap all day. The front seven is good, but the DB's were getting beat all day. BVG has to adjust with more pressure and blitzing.

Yeah, that was a disappointing performance and the loss of now the starting QB and starting RB is a death nail.

This team is going to cap out in the rankings almost immediately.

Take it week by week. You don't get that high in the rankings being a one note team. Certainly, ND will suffer some, but that's a good football team in south bend, as much as I hate to admit

Well all you haters can rejoice. It was a fun game to watch but ND doesn't deserve to remain in the top 10 after that performance. And without Zaire, they won't beat any ranked teams. So much wasted talent...

I'm serious. Georgia Tech is no joke and that will be a tough game for ND.

The advantage ND has in that game is that the focus will be on their Front 7 which is their strength. GT will have a hell of a time controlling Sheldon Day at the POA and Jaylon Smith is probably the best LB in the Country. Tech won't be able to hurt ND through the air so ND has a shot if Kizer can be competent but that's asking a lot right now.

ND opened -1, was quickly bet to Ga.Tech -2.5.

I'm surprised they moved up one spot to #8 after that game.

Georgia Tech will quickly determine if we are a contender or pretender.

    Simple for ND.
If they go undefeated they are in the play-offs.
If the lose once they are probably in the play-offs.
Lose twice and they are probably out.
    Lose three times, no chance.

At least Boise is done early and we don't have to listen to that stupid talk if they went undefeated.

If they lose once it's an uphill battle to get in. You gotta assume OSU is going to be undefeated, Alabama and TCU could easily join them as undefeated which leaves one place for potential one loss teams like USC, Oregon, Michigan State, Georgia, Baylor, and whoever is left standing in the ACC.

Not an easy assumption they get in as a one loss team imo.

Yeah I agree. Their schedule is middle of the road and with no conference championship game, one loss is likely to keep them out of the play-offs. To get in with one loss, they need the loss early and then dominate all of their remaining games. Saturday's win was not a dominating win.

    It's Notre Dame.

    Actually it's almost a guarantee.

And there won't be four other undefeated teams.

Rumor is just as a Shamrock Series game. Both AD's tried to assert their authority on the last renewal and ruined the fun for all of us.

A 30-7 victory may have moved us up a spot or two. This victory was a good one but I think we stay at #8.

In 2 weeks we have Clemson and they did not look that good against Louisville this week.

Well that went pretty well...Prosise may be the season savior with Folston and Zaire done for the year.

Tranquill is a moron to get hurt like that. Sheldon Day, Prosise, Will Fuller and Jaylon Smith are the real deal, but I'm concerned Prosise won't survive the season if he keeps getting so many touches.

Kizer and Prosise were sloppy on the handoffs all day. Scary to think what may happen when they clean that up.
