until we get a winner, it seems pretty spot on.

Toronto back in?

Mike Babcock had not announced a decision on his future early Wednesday as TSN reported the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs were in a bidding war for the services of the Detroit Red Wings coach.
According to @TSNAaronWard, DET is out on Babcock. BUF is out. That leaves TOR, STL and SJ.

Leafs. Official.

Not official. Fake account
Yes, this means Blashill will be promoted to Wings new coach.
We lose out on Babcock. My hate for Toronto increases.
Hitchcock will stay in St. Louis. Bylsma will go to SJ, probably.
I think Richardson is the choice.
Exhales loudly.
I was excited about babcock but I also saw red flags.

I hope we spend the saved money from this guy on a better Bills coaching staff, $7 M a season for hockey coach ?? F-that, that's why I even questioned it as well. This is astronomically too much for the NHL, which is a tiny blip on the TV radar in the U.S. Let's find us another retread from the past who will cost us a few hockey puck bags and a dinner in comparison.
8 million a year???
this cant be true.
Please just hire that stiff from Binghamton.
He has potential.
We like potential.
Not the end of the world. The Sabres aren't going to end up with another Ron Rolston behind the bench.

Don't forget the potential that comes with the 3rd round pick the Sabres did not give up for signing Babcock.
