All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

i think he's more proven than rex, so it makes sense that he's more expensive. plus in football, it seems like long term means 3-5 years while in hockey long term is 5-10 years for both players and coaches. So it's not an apples to apples comparison.
AS for FA, it's really thinned out with those long term contracts for high performers. they get locked up. he's going to have to get the core to perform for him. and he should see he has an owner who will listen to him. if eichel is the real deal and babs wants him signed to along term deal...he knows that will happen. that wasn't true with TommyG.
Babcock isn't a riskless endevor. I worry about the bowman syndrome. great before buffalo and after buffalo but struggles in buffalo. the curse could be real.

Curses / Jinxes, does everyone from Buffalo believe in voodoo as well ??
Mike Babcock is discussing a potential contract with the Buffalo Sabres to become their coach, The Associated Press reported Tuesday.
Mike Babcock had not announced a decision on his future early Wednesday as TSN reported the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs were in a bidding war for the services of the Detroit Red Wings coach.
Yes, this means Blashill will be promoted to Wings new coach.
We lose out on Babcock. My hate for Toronto increases.
Hitchcock will stay in St. Louis. Bylsma will go to SJ, probably.
I think Richardson is the choice.
I hope we spend the saved money from this guy on a better Bills coaching staff, $7 M a season for hockey coach ?? F-that, that's why I even questioned it as well. This is astronomically too much for the NHL, which is a tiny blip on the TV radar in the U.S. Let's find us another retread from the past who will cost us a few hockey puck bags and a dinner in comparison.
