Vegas obviously thinks the Patriots* punishment is light

Vegas odds for the Patriots* to win the Super Bowl in 2016 was 6-1 and dropped all the way to 15-2.

With the 2015 NFL draft in the books, we now have a good idea of what all 32 teams will look like this coming season.

    What a joke!

Obviously, Vegas doesn't believe that the only reason the Pats win are soft balls.

    LOL!

    A four game suspension and the odds "drop" from 6 - 1 to 7 1/2 - 1.

    Money talks, bull**** walks...

It was a change that was triggered from the punishment. Try to keep up!

That's what I said. The "punishment" resulted in a miniscule movement from 6 - 1 to 7 1/2 to one.

        Obviously, Vegas isn't impressed.

Vegas doesn't think one way or another..

It is all based on how the betting money comes in...

So its the people betting on the pats who think the punishment doesn't matter much which it doesn't..

True. However, it's easier and customary though to simplify it and just say Vegas thinks or Vegas likes...

Vegas is a metaphor for the betting industry.

Since Goodell has always been in Kraft's pocket, I expect him to reduce the penalty to two games or less after the appeal.

But if the suspension stands at 4 games you can expect a huge move in that line.

vegas also notes the outlier home performance. it's clearly not just deflated footballs. its all the cheating they do and the lack of disclosure they provide around it.

they know belichick is the key to keeping the system. now that he's off scott free, why change the odds. him and ernie adams will keep calling illegal substitutions, steal play calls, and dial in the playcall after the 15 second cut off.

Vegas isn't going to gamble that brady is the key to the whole thing.

Why would the line move at all, at worst the Pats would go 1-3 during that 4 game stretch and will still end up being 10-6 or better and in the playoffs.

They went undefeated the year after Spygate. They CRUSHED most of their opponents. Wouldn't be surprised if it happens again this year. It's the juiciest bit of bulletin board material ever. They're gonna be breathing fire every game.

And if the Bills can't win the Superbowl this year, I'd love to see what would happen if the Pats won it again.

Right, the year they started deflating footballs.

right, they ate teams alive because of bulletin board material. the simpler answer is that their real edge hasn't been curtailed yet.

poor belichick, never getting out from parcell's light. he's just as stupid and weak as his defenders.

We'll, the Patriots only play FOUR games against teams that made the playoffs last year. That's the first time that's happened in 15 years, where the Super Bowl winners faced a favorable schedule like that.

I still think that it's more probable than not that they make the playoffs in 2015.
