All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

It better not be, considering the team floated $9mil at one in free agency already.
Interesting observation by whoever suggested one may replace a third TE. However, while looking up Felton's contract I ran across a comment that stated Roman's offense last year in San Fran had a fullback on the field more than any other team in the league, so carrying two certainly isn't out of the question.

John Conner makes it if he plays special teams out of this world, otherwise we have enough in the backfield already.
He's been cut before because he's not a special teams guy (Bengals, 2013, said he was their best FB but cut him in favor of a special teams guy). ST would be Williams or Dixon for a keeper.
At first when I read they signed him I threw up my hands, bewildered and annoyed at another Jet. Truth is though, he signed for vet minimum and is better than the RB he replaced on the roster Corey Knox. Let the best men win.
No surprise at all to see Conner added and he'll likely make the team. Rex loved him in NY.
I agree with Rat, we'll likely carry two FB's this year. Felton is more versatile than Conner who is going to see time probably on 3rd and short, and in the goal line. When he's in the game it will likely be for a power running play. Shady will love running behind him.
Well the one thing I'll give them credit for is that if you're either not going to fix the OL or don't feel like you can, then you at least need to add some extra blockers (be they TE's or FB's) to help make some room and with Felton and Conner they have done that.

And that's supposed to mean something because we suddenly became a talented juggernaut that didn't carry players like Larry Dean and Randell Johnson on the active roster last year? Roman's offense heavily features the FB, wouldn't hurt to have two and it's not like it's going to cost some uber talented player a roster spot.

Previously of the Jets, nicknamed "The Terminator". This was obviously a Rex signing
I remember Conner absolutely destroying an opposing player on (I think) a ST play (kickoff return if memory serves) on Hard Knocks.
Rex really liked it a lot.
I'm just hoping to see a versatile fullback again, one who can run and catch besides block. Last one I can remember who did all three with any regularity is Carwell Gardner (more than 40 rushing attempts, though Centers was close and the best receiver). I kind of miss the days of Larry Kinnebrew, Roosevelt Leaks and Jim Braxton.
