    Bills Sign FB John Conner

Previously of the Jets, nicknamed "The Terminator". This was obviously a Rex signing

The Bills today announced the signing of free agent fullback John Conner. Details of the contract were not released.

The 5-11, 245-pound Conner joins the Bills after spending last season with the New York Jets, where he played for Bills head coach Rex Ryan. Conner also played for Ryan from 2010-2012 in New York.

Conner is primarily a blocking back, but has run the ball 27 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns in his NFL career. He also has 12 receptions for 84 yards and one TD.

The 27-year old Conner was originally selected by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Kentucky. He has also played for the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Giants.

To make room for Conner and keep the Bills at the 90-man roster limit, the team announced the released of FB and Buffalo native Corey Knox.

I'm convinced this guy would be a probowler if he played 30 years ago. He's playing in the wrong era.

John Conner - from the Terminator
John Miller - from saving Private Ryan

It'll be interesting to see how the Fullback situation works out this year. Seems like they'll be out there quite a bit in the ground-and-pound. Felton probably isn't talked about enough, but he probably will be later.

Well I think there's at least one thing for sure you can say. It looks like the Bills will carry at least two FBs on the active roster. When is the last time that happened?

Plus this is more evidence (if they carry Conner and Felton) that Bryce Brown is likely history.

              yea,

i think it's weird that he's older than his own father, Kyle Reese.
              I came.

I kinda like Brown to make the team over Dixon if a Brown could learn to hold onto the damn ball...perhaps they should deflate it.

Lotsa running backs, at any rate.

Could be they carry one less tight end.

Our backfield seems to be getting very crowded

That could be, maybe they see one of the backs as more of an H role and not a true behind the QB fullback

Or just scrap having an OL altogether.

Holy crap...and you accuse other Bills fans of sounding like crybabies?

Give it a rest already. I think we understand by now.

i think dixon can play that role, i dont see connor beating out him, dixon can block just as well probably but is much more athletic

John Conner makes it if he plays special teams out of this world, otherwise we have enough in the backfield already.
