Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly filed the paperwork to trade a third round draft choice to Detroit if Mike Babcock decides to leave the Red Wings. The third round draft choice is the compensation Detroit is asking for in return for releasing Babcock’s contract before it expires June 30th.
Leafs reportedly approached Sheldon Keefe today about the spot. Maybe they are out?
