They also gave him 2Y of unemployment and a chance in the NHL again. not exactly something he had going for himself prior to being hired.
i actually thought nolan showed why he's good with youngsters and getting people to buy into the program. so i'm not totally against saying he got the raw end of the deal.
Nolan got a golden parachute.
He knew what the deal was or he was dumb as a brick.
Notice how all the other NHL teams are avidly pursuing him?
I don't think he got treated badly and I'm glad he's gone.
It's come down to Sabres or New Jersey for Bylsma

Bylsma was fired for a reason. He should have done better with the personnel he had in Pittsburgh.
He won a cup. I'll take the same results.
His teams were stacked. He should have won more than once. They won in spite of him, not because of him. And that's why he eventually was removed.
And yet, the pens haven't found success since He was removed
and the pens still have relied on awful goaltending to get there, and with sidney having his concussion issues. They kept selling pieces to get the team to win another cup and never restocked the cupboard. and they never got the goalie to make it happen.
Lastly, i would take a 4-6 year run of consistently making the playoffs and winning a cup in there.
look at quenville. fired from st louis. looks great now with a deep core where his line 1 and 2 are interchangeable.
you give good coaches talent, they will succeed. you make it hard on them, they fail to provide consistent results.
I hope the Sabres sign Bylsma.
If he signs with New Jersey when money is no object in Buffalo, what are we to conclude?
It can't be Tim Murray can it?
Your obsession with murray is well documented. You know, obsession is a sign of aspergers, which you believe murray may have. Just sayin.

Channel 7 just reported he's our coach, take it for what it's worth.
