All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I would have liked this trade better if Zad wasn't included, but I get it,,,,,you have to give to get and the Av's desperately needed defense. Grigo, I'm not worried about. He seemed to have a sense of "entitlement" and basically the 'threat' he used to go back to the KHL unless he got a one-way contract was probably the last straw for the office. I admit I don't know a lot about Compher.
The secret to this trade will be if we can get ROR signed long term.
seems virtually impossible roy jr would make that deal without doing his diligence and making sure an extension would get done, at least as much as i suppose you can when you cant make it official yet. he didnt work this hard just to have it all fall apart bc your veteran centerpiece walks for nuthin
@Ryan_OReilly90: I'm thrilled to be welcomed into the @BuffaloSabres I've heard nothing but great things and I'm extremely excited to get started! #Sabres
In his post-draft press conference it sounded like talking to O'Reilly before the trade wasn't a huge priority. Still, when he was asked if he's prepared to make ROR the highest-paid player on the Sabres, he said he went into the negotiations with the Avs under the assumption that he'd have to. So I'm not too worried about a deal being reached.
John Hemingway(facing certain death): I want to see Buffalo win the Super Bowl.
David Coltrane(threatening John): Nobody's going to live that long, pal.
-The John Larroquette Show, "A Dark and Stormy Night", 4/12/94
Gary Bettman butchered the names of every player the Sabres traded to the Avs
say what you will about bettman, im sure none of it is good, but a few things. one. when he was getting booed last night, he cracked some jokes. and, im sorry, but someone like that, who is hated, and can make fun of his situation, i give him credit. also, he has a weekly radio show, where he will take callers, who are usually people who hate him. and he will take the call, take the abuse, and answer the question honestly the best he can, and do it repeatedly.
like i said, yeah, hes hated, and yeah, for good reason. but he also seems to be more transparent and accessible over other league commishes. and at least can laugh at his situation. gotta give him SOME credit.
everone is so hyped up abut eichel and ROR, and with good reason. but we keep over-looking mcginn and legwand. two, good bottom 6 guys who will really add depth to the forward group. NHL talent depth. gone are the days of AHL scrubs playing NHL minutes. those guys will help. alot. seriously, the sabres just added 15 wins last night. thats alot.
I see only a few questions remaining....
1. What happens with Hodgson? Was the pressure of being a #1 center too much, and might he perform better with the new additions? Or is he just done?
2. What kind of scheme will Blysma run? How quickly can the guys make the adjustment to it?
3. More importantly, IMHO, with all the additions, subtractions - what about team chemistry? I honestly think team chemistry can be very under valued.
