Kings D Martin has ties to Bylsma...
Martin, 34, isn’t interested in playing extensively in the offensive zone, Martin is a true stay at home guy who will jump up and join the rush. He payed for Dan Byslama in Pittsburgh an d he knows what it takes to win games. Martin will cost in excess of $5 million per season.

I've mentioned before but love Sekera or Ehrhoff return. Cody Franson's size is equal to Zadorov and he's put up decent stats up in Toronto but of course is a righty and most feel we need a lefty. I am sure there are others to look at but the key is we need a top 4 guy. I'd also welcome adding a guy who could be a a 6/7. As I'm not sold on Weber and McCabe.
He never sucked. Jamie McBain sucked. He was a solid top 4 guy when he was here and has been ever better since leaving the organization.
He was always grossly under appreciated here.
always liked REJ. his problem was he was inconsistent. but he was solid most nights.
I don't know if it was Lindy's fault, but he'd be playing in a different system this time so maybe he wouldn't be so inconsistent. I still favor free agents Oduya or Martin
LOL. I understand that reaction. But that article calls Sekera a "blue chip" player. Again, LOL.
Any list with Drew Stafford in the top ten is a lousy list. Stafford is one of the biggest disappointments ever to wear blue and gold. Right up there with Presley, Holzinger and Rasmussen. You can throw in a Paul Cyr as well.
The UFA pickings are slim and most of the guys are 32 plus and don't have 20-30 goal potential like Stafford does. I think the reason he was disappointing is after this 30 goal season he never followed it up with another one. He was better than Holzinger and Rasmussen ever were not sure about Presley as he seemed to excell when short handed and Cyr was better than everyone else mentioned.
Let's go back to the past when it did not work. Awesome.
By the way, the Sabres are looking for a number one or two defenseman, not a 3 or 4 ( or 6 or 7 in Sekera's case) so I think we don't have to worry about that.
Well, he's not the same player he was. He got better once he got to LA.
I keep reading Frolik's name being mentioned in a good light. I'd FAR rather have Frolik as my 2nd line RW than Drew Stafford. Just writing his name makes me want to puke.
