Yeah. Found out about false tweets there last night. Apparently no decision has been made yet.
He's milking somebody. Or trying to. Using Buffalo's offer to his advantage negotiating with other teams. We've seen this before.
First, I wouldn't have put the same offer back on the table for him. He had an above market value contract put in front of him and he balked.
Second, I'd only put a 2 year deal at $5 million now. His decline was notable this year, and although I believe he's the right player at the right time... if we're going to overpay on salary, let's not overpay on term.
id also strongly consider pulling out of the Oduya sweepstakes based on his rejection of the last offer and his apparent lack of commitment once the Hawks were realistically removed.
theres red flags surrounding this for me right now.
