Only? He was never really better than that level to begin with. He only played on the big team as a place-holder on the roster of an epic tanking team.

He could do spot 4th line duty if we have an injury or 8. It's a good ahl move.

    hmmm player coach?

at Eichel's introductory press conference, Murray did little to clear up the coaching search for the Amerks.

"We're talking about doing some things that maybe haven't been done before. So, we're just thinking it through, we're running difference scenarios amongst the group. We have some names that we've talked to about these things, so we're taking our time."

and yesterday this tweet from Kevin O
#Sabres coach Dan Bylsma said his staff is pretty much set. Said organization isn't "close" on hiring the #Amerks head coach.

Murray may, however, pick up the pace on his search for an Amerks coach.
“I’ve gone through 1,000 different scenarios, but it’s starting to get to the point where I have to quit experimenting with ideas and different scenarios and just get to it,” Murray said. “In saying that, I thought we signed a lot of good depth – guys that can play games up here when we have injuries, guys that are going to be really good players down there – and they never had a question about who’s coaching. I think they trust the fact that what we’ve done so far here that we’ll have a good guy down there. We’ll have a competitive team.”
