From WGRZ:
What the heck does "and care or control over 80 mgs" mean? The Ontario Provincial Police announced Monday that O'Reilly had been charged with driving while ability impaired - motor vehicle (alcohol) and care or control over 80 mgs on July 9.
Lehner's history. He just doesn't know it yet.
It means you're in control of the vehicle but not actively driving it. So basically, it's a charge for if you're drunk and trying to sleep it off in the car or something, since the idea is that you COULD at any time drive impaired because the vehicle is in your "care or control". I don't know how it pertains to ROR's circumstances, but that's what it is.

What's the "80 mgs"?
The scene involved a broken window. That's about it

this is a problem limited to just buffalo hockey players, right spike?
hockey players are notorious drunks and until the league cracks down on this, it'll keep happening.
but if you can two hand a guy in the face and get a couple games, it's hard to send a message with a drunk driving suspension.
"oh you purposely aimed for a guys head while he wasn't looking? first time offender and no one got hurt, 1 game. you drove drunk at or around the legal limit?"
what can you possibly do? anything higher than intent to injure in a game and you get into the goodell school of random punishments.
It's no big deal, We all drive drunk and crash into buildings and walk away from the scene.
