Bills offered MD 6yrs $90M contract which comes out to $15m/yr. Earlier this year, Suh signed a 6yr $114M contract with Dolphins which comes out to $19m/yr. Sides haven't spoken in 3 weeks and are said to be far apart.

Dareus is better than Suh. MD is right, it is an insult.

Not only is Suh better then Dareus but his contract was the result of a bidding war. Dareus should get north of 100 million though.

I'm not sure that Suh is better honestly. Dareus offers versatility to play in multiple defensive packages that Suh doesn't and can play multiple roles in those packages. He can shoot gaps, he can plus up blockers, and he can just run straight power. Suh is a gap DT who can't plug up blockers but does have some power to his game. Dareus has off the field issues, but Suh has more suspensions against him and his next infraction will result in a longer suspension than Dareus. He's also older.
Now that's not to say that Suh isn't an incredible DT, because he is and he's unblockable at times, but so is Dareus.
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Bills end up going to $20 million a year on average for Dareus with a front loaded deal over 6-7 years.

McCoy got more money, I think at WORST, Dareus is on par with him...it's a low ball offer, but I hope it's just a starting point.
I'm really suprised at all the public comments made by Dareus concerning the talks. I think he really does want to be a Bill and he needs to be paid Suh money. There are a few things that can be done to get him signed.
They can't sign him because of Fool's Gold's contract!
that contract guaranteed the Bills would never make the playoffs the entire time it's on the books.

When ur paying a guy like this starting QB money it gets hard to win in this league unless the cap is for sure moving up a lot.
Plus he's very immature. He was pouring water on Williams while they were interviewing him. I can see another suspension in his future.
I know it's all relative, but $90 million is not a figure I'm capable of being objective about. Not enough money? OK, sure. I can relate...

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

It's hard to win in this league period without a QB worthy of "starting QB money." Let me know when the Bills pass up an available proven premier QB because they were paying anybody at a different position a lot of money.
Jeez, how uptight are you?
I thought it was funny when Dareus poured water on Mario; in fact, I rewound it a couple of times to watch it again. I saw it as a good sign of comradery, not a dangerous sign of things to come at all. Dareus has been through a hell of a lot in his life. Yeah, he made a couple of mistakes too, but so what? That means he can't have fun anymore? People are better at their jobs when they enjoy themselves, me thinks. Also, it seems a bit ironic to single out anybody as being immature who basically plays a children's game for a living.

Pay Marcell Dareus 15 mil a year but then as his signing bonus give bonus all the synthetic weed he can smoke and an all-you-can-eat Mongolian Buffet built into the locker room.
And maybe a hot new car to drag race for fun.
He'll sign!
