    Camp Close: This & that

Percy Harvin back on field. The coach praises his work to get back so quickly.

Fred Jackson running as #1 RB, but all backs on field, except the rookie Karlos Williams.

Charles Clay may have dinged up his bad right knee.

Aaron Williams & Marcel Dareus back on the field after getting Sunday off.

Matt Cassel gets the most QB reps with the first team, but reportedly threw some ducks.

    Buffalo Bills ✔ @buffalobills

Rex: "Trainers are blown away with Percy's commitment to getting back out there."

Says most injured players will be back for the opener.
    Tyler Dunne ✔ @TyDunne

Until McCoy returns, it's Fred Jackson again at RB for Buffalo.
    Mike Rodak ✔ @mikerodak

“Nagging” is a red flag for Charles Clay because he dealt with a right knee injury all last season in MIA: http://

    bit.ly/1ETNpR8
    Mike Rodak ✔ @mikerodak

Charles Clay insists he's fine after talking to trainers today. When asked if it was same knee as injury last year, declines comment.
    Mike Rodak @mikerodak

Final first-team QB reps tally for today:
    Cassel: 18
    Taylor: 15

Manuel: 6 (rest were scout team)
    Tyler Dunne ✔ @TyDunne

Bills doing some 7 on 7 now and there have been some ugly throws by Cassel. Way wide to Thompson on an out, then way behind Lewis.

Re: Camp Close: This & that

Saw one report that said all RBs, but Williams were on the field, but then I saw this:

    Mike Rodak ✔ @mikerodak

Not practicing today for Bills: McCoy, Bryce Brown, Karlos Williams, Boobie Dixon, Chris Hogan, Jonathan Meeks. ... Harvin in shorts.

EJ is trashed for his inaccuracy and ugly passes.

From all I've read this training camp, Cassel consistently throws ugly passes especially long balls.

Then Cassel is EJ without the deep passes.

    I'm okay with starting Taylor.

I also read that Duke Williams is having himself a horrendous camp. He's most likely not gonna start at S along AW. Corey Graham come on down!

Ha couldn't be more inaccurate. Cassel has been nailing the deep ball all camp. He was throwing to Thompson and Lewis, two guys he's rarely thrown to because he works with the starters mostly. Carucci said the bad passes were a result of qb/wr not being on the same page with the given route. I'm not here to defend Cassel if he's playing poorly, but at least try to show some objectivity.

I haven't been to any of the camps. I must assume you have since you're speaking with such authority. I'm just going by what I've been reading online.

Frankly I hope you're right, that Cassel has a big arm and nailing all the deep balls. But his career has been showing the opposite thus far.

The one that needs a serious bag on her head to boot. Come on man, you gotta be more selective with these girls and don't try pimping on them just tell them you got a couple grand waiting for them to "hang out for a weekend."

The most important thing no reporters have tracked, is which QB hands off the best. People keep thinking they mean to throw more than 17 attempts per game and more than 5 of those past 5 yards.

I've been disappointed in Duke so far myself. I haven't attended any practices, but he hasn't looked that good in the games. Unfortunate, I've been thinking the kid had the tools to at least be an adequate starter.
