      This is just wrong.

I think what they are saying is if you are 2 or 3 on the depth chart, $2.5 million is too much

I respectfully disagree. Front offices love to say that. We are releasing him now out of respect so he can catch up elsewhere. Bull crap ! You just fired the man. What respect ??

Our team has suffered its fair share of injuries so far. I'm not sure Fred was going to just be riding the pine on the bench. One bad hit to Karlos or Shady (both of which have been hurt in the preseason) and its Fred time. Boobie and Brown are not as good.

Turns out Pegula was actually the riddler pretending to be batman early this year when there was talk about trading FJ.

Now I will never trust what comes out of Pegulas mouth because of this. Business first.

I don't get it. I like Williams but we're keeping Bryce Brown over Freddie? This is a WTF move to me.

This reeks of Whaley standing up for his man love Bryce Brown. He gave up picks for him.

**** Whaley man. And Rex too.

Probably keeping Felton and John Connor if Brown is gone. And Brown SHOULD be gone after this atrocity.

We brought in McCoy and have young / talented lets to fill in the balance, so I'd plan on us being serious about winning versus making friends.

                        Re: Bills Release Fred Jackson

This is a really sad day, I know FJ was getting up there and I have a feeling a lot of this was about $$ (Bills saved $2.7 million by cutting him) but this just sucks. FJax was the only bright spot through a lot of dark times in Buffalo and to let him go after all the work he has put in right when the Bills are on the upswing is just crushing. This man played for the Bills for 10 years not making a single playoff game and now that he could finally be on a team to make it there they cut him without even seeing if he would take less money.

                        Damn.

I don't think McCoy is going to start more than 8 games all year. Williams is probably going to carry the load. We needed Fred. Brown is inadequate. Keeping two FBs is unnecessary. Kick off specialists? a 3rd QB (from this list of stellar choices). This move blows.

In the thread we discussed this earlier this year, I was incredulous that anyone could think it and never thought the Bills would do this.

                            Man was I wrong.

Further update: Most of you know that Fred Jackson has a weekly show on WBBZ during the season. Bradley Gelber(who's the social media whiz on the show)just tweeted: "For folks asking me about the show...we're in standby mode for the time being. I'll update you when we know more."
