Granted one guy left town because he's a wreck off the field (on it, beastmode is beastmode) the other because we drafted a 3rd down gadget back to be a no.1; ugh this team makes me sick sometimes.

Still I loved FJ, moderately talented running back with top tier vision and balance; and the willingness to do anything for the team. Never *****ed about playing time, never really *****ed about his teammates, or the organisation. pure class.
Trading Lynch for a 4th round pick was way worse than letting Freddie go to me.

It is and I applaud it. Fjax at best as been a #2/#3 guy the past couple seasons..........he's slowed down alot and is always fighting some kind of injury. You should never get older at the running back position , you should always look to get younger.

He looked pretty damn good to me in that 37 yard almost-TD run on Saturday.

Roster health is the only issue I have with this.

We have enough solid RB's on the team to let a 34 year old vet go. If he was even 30 I would call this move stupid.

It's not going to be a fan favorite but it's a solid football move.

    Re: Bills Release Fred Jackson

I was all for keeping Fred for 1 more year. The supposed logic ?

Fred was seen as the #3 RB and if no injuries occurred, he would just be a cheerleader with no contribution to ST's, unlike Williams and Dixon who will definitely be out there on ST's. Plus Williams had passed him on the depth chart.

I can't say I'm shocked, just disappointed that a class act and beloved player is leaving. I hope he goes somewhere with touches coming his way. He deserves that. I just hope it's not the Pats or Fins.

I saw Thurman for a short time in a Fins uniform, Reed in a Falcons jersey, Bruce in a Skins jersey. Didn't seem right but this isn't unprecedented. This is a different Bills era with actual promise. This roster was reshaped like never before with actual talent.

It will take a while to accept. I see Fred being a great candidate to coach in the near future. The respect would be immediate.

Fred will be fine and I'll miss him. The Wall will have his name up there shortly.

    Go Bills !

Belichump loves him I think it's likely. And yes it's even likely he finally gets into the playoffs and beyond in NE which is what he deserves for all his hard work on the field.

I hope F-Jax goes to a contender and wins a Super Bowl. Even if it's with the hated Patriots.

Dude deserves better than what our incompetent, small potatoes organization did today.

On his 37 yard sprint, he only outran like 7 guys who were a decade younger than him... but no, we need to use his roster spot for one of the "young" guys that never get hurt -- who ironically are ALL hurt right now.

    Or a "kickoff specialist".

    Makes ****ing sense to me!

I wonder if the added cap room is to make a play at RG3 who probably will get released. The next step would be an EJ move... trade or release.

Agreed but speaking of did the Chargers keep Chris Hairston?

I hope you're kidding, RGIII has had two HC problems, hasn't shown improved play from his rookie season, has shown he can't stand in the pocket and coming off a concussion. Say what you want but right now EJ > RGIII.

Cleveland is hurting for RB's and the belief is they'll claim him off waivers.

Waivers don't apply to F-Jax per the CBA. He's unrestricted.

I love FJ as much as anyone. No way I'm rooting for him if he becomes a cheater. No way in hell.

I don't think Fred qualifies for waivers because since he's played more than 4 years in the league. He's free to sign wherever he wants/to whomever wants him.

    Re: Bills Release Fred Jackson

If Fred wants to get carries and still be the feature back, he'll go to Cleveland. Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell won't stop that.

If Fred wants to actually win, he'll end up somewhere like New England or Dallas - just two teams I've heard have interest in him.

Fred's already toiled in football hell for 9 years, why go to another team and do it again?
