How many penalties? How many drops?
No, Tyrod was not the problem.

Not the major problem today but he stares down his targets. Predictable where he's going.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Good thing we have the legendary David Lee back to instruct him.

This is the problem with one-read Quarterbacks. If their first target is covered, they try to force passes.

And that's why Greg Roman wanted a veteran.

But he was overruled by a preference for the trendy.

Anyone notice how good that outmoded relic Eli Manning looked today?

More on Roman play calling into the Ds strength. Wrote off the whole first half
Tyrod made plays, including two TDs that were called back for infractions that were dubious and in any event in no way facilitated his execution.
    Dude is for real. JMO.

He threw an interception and was sacked once. We owned him except for the rest of his plays.

    Re: The problem with Tyrod

Tyrod is NOT the problem with this team, sorry haters.

Two TD's called back on penalties, two drives where we came away with no points. We are scoring more than we have in a long, long time, it should be enough to win.....If not for the complete lack of discipline that starts at the top.

The entire team contributed to this loss but I would say Taylor was pretty solid again.

I think that will come. He's started 4 games. I'm happy with his play so far. Much better than I was expecting.

I guess the same can be said of some of the homers but I notice many of you only post when we lose and are quiet as a church mouse when we win.

    Re: The problem with Tyrod

He's basically a rookie. Come on now, did he play a bad first half? Absolutely. Can you put this loss on him? Not a chance.

He does stare down receivers every now and then, but I think that can be fixed. He takes care of the ball and doesn't make stupid throws, I don't think its fair to call him a one read QB either because he really isn't. I put the blame for this game mostly on the coaching staff, Roman put the Bills in bad situations all game and the defense just didn't look prepared.

Next time you look at Tyrod you should consider looking at him vs the rookies in the league and comparing him to them. He has a more developed mind for the NFL but about the same number of snaps in the NFL. Would you rather have him be like James and lead the league in INTs?

    Give me a break

    Re: The problem with Tyrod

Yeah, the first half Tyrod's stats were awful. But my eyes said, it was some fairly crap play calling and execution by the players. No flow on the play calling. Seemed like the play calling for the start of this game was, and I hate this term, vanilla. No imagination and playing the game into the defenses strengths. I read an article this week, I wish I could find it again, but it showed Taylor moves his eyes not his head. Looking off a defender with your head is a great skill that people believe is easy, hoping it comes with time. So it's not exactly like he is one read then F'd. The article stated he typically has 3 reads/ options every pass play. I'm going to try to find that article again.

But with all that said, this is the best QB play we've had in a while. I can't be upset with a guy playing this well after 4 career starts. Discipline is this team's biggest enemy, not QB play.
Now you see that evil will always triumph, because good is dumb.

For me it comes back to coaching, across the board. They were unprepared and lost...again.

Yikes - you watching the same 4 games I have? He's not perfect, but is far far from the problem. He's two questionable penalties away from throwing for 310, 2 tds and a 40/yard rushing td. And......this was his least affective game of the 4

You obviously don't know td yet. He wants Tyrod to be benched and ej to start so he can do a play by play *****ing of everything ej does when he gets behind center. That's his shtick. He would even complain after an ej touchdown last year. He's mad because he's out of material now that ej is on the bench.

That's what the problem with Manuel was. Taylor's problem is he is too quick to abandon the pocket and run.

Ryan has a big win, then thinks he's the big boy on the block and doesn't work as hard for the next game. Watch. You will see that theme over and over.
