Iowa shouldn't be in the top-10
Baylor and TCU fans are probably losing their minds.
The next 4-5 weeks will solve this. Means little now. Ohio St. was #16 in the first poll last year. Shows how quick many fall, late in the season.
Who has Alabama beat to deserve the 4 spot over the 3-4 behind them.

But like Night Train said this will shake itself out on the field over the next month and in the end the top 4 should be the deserving top 4
Lou Holtz and Op must be on this committee, looking at the # 5 spot.

It is all relatively speaking of course.
Hell, I'm a 'Bama follower and obviously I didn't have them in the top four, even wearing Crimson Red Homer glasses.
It's difficulty lies in the non-conference schedule that it plays. Which I know sounds odd, but if you look at all five of the top teams in the CFP only ND and Ohio State don't play a FCS team as part of their schedule. You add in the fact that they play USC, Texas, Temple and Stanford in addition to an ACC slate that includes Clemson, GT, Virginia, Pitt, Wake Forest and Boston College and that's a pretty strong schedule. It make not have the start power of a marquee game, but from start to finish it's pretty tough.
TCU is toast if they don't spark a miraculous comeback in the last 20 minutes against Okla St.

With this Clemson victory, am I right to assume that ND would move to #4 if LSU beats 'Bama tonight?
