Over in the OHL, the relatively new Flint Firebirds have a grade A crisis on their hands.(Flint was previously known as the Plymouth Whalers.)
Here's the story: The entire coaching staff was fired after a come-from-behind win over Oshawa yesterday. Why? Well, it seems like the owner wasn't happy over the amount of ice time his kid(D Hakon Nilson)was getting. But here's the topper: The ENTIRE team went to the front office, turned in their jerseys and quit. Including the owner's son(who has now asked for a trade and will likely get it.)
ESPN's John Buccigross(one of the only people there who seems to give a damn about hockey)just tweeted that OHL commish David Branch will be meeting with the Firebirds' owner, the coaches and players at 12 noon today(11/9).
