    Penalties - Bills vs Patriots

So if we're going to have a chance at winning, we need to play a clean game and not give Brady and Co. free yards and first downs.

But if previous games this season are any view into the future, you can almost certainly count on:

    - one (1) special teams penalty
    - at least two (2) defensive pass interference / holding calls
    - one (1) false start
    - two (2) personal fouls / unnecessary roughness calls

That's already 6 for at least 65 and the refs haven't even began to support Tom Brady's jock.

    What says you?

Illegal Block in the Back is a requirement for Special Teams.

The false start will undoubtedly be in the Red Zone.

Maybe we could get a flag before the game starts for showing up and not forfeiting.

Don't forget the phantom offensive pass interference calls.

And never forget how the Pats will get about 3 formation/false start penalties when they are up multiple scores so the final tally looks more even.

Don't forget that Gronk will abuse and literally shove our guys out of the frame without getting even a glimmer of a penalty on him.

You can also expect Brady to cry like the little ***** pussy he is if somebody comes within a yard of him. He will automatically get the flag thrown for roughing the passer.

    This is the famous one.
Once the game is out of reach and the refs have already done their momentum changing damage, they will then hit the Pats with some penalties in garbage time.

And we will never get the benefit of the doubt. If its close, it will always be called against us. Partially because its the Patriots, yes. But mostly because we are known for having a high number of penalties. Anything questionable or possible will go against us.

With Walt Colemans crew not working tonight, we'll probably be under 18 penalties...several of the phantom variety.

Sad. Already making excuses before the game even starts. Being a Bills fan really sucks.
Lehner's history. He just doesn't know it yet.

We are just going by history. You can't say that the Patriots aren't the beneficiaries of a plethora of dubious calls in their recent history.

"Remember The Tuck Rule" is still a rallying cry in Oakland.

In the old NFL, there usually would not be a game changing call towards the end of a game. Now it's a weekly occurance.

Rarely do they need any help from the refs to beat our sorry asses. Give me a bogus call that we can agree on and I will give you a dozen stupid plays or unreal bad luck for the Bills. The best anyone can do is the 'just give it to them game' and that was what...almost 20 years ago?

I wish the refs would have thrown a flag on McStoopid. Game ejection for being a moron. And what about that time their player was on the edge of the sideline, knocked the fark out, and he somehow "recovers" the fumble? Those were games we could have won, should have won.

I'm sick of hearing about the goddamned refs every frickin ' time we play these guys. The hue and cry heard here last game over the calls was ridiculous. The Bills were sloppy, careless, and just plain lousy. To hell with the refs and their calls...look no further than our own team on that game and just about every other game we've played against them in the Brady era.

Whatever man. In you quest to be fair and impartial, you blindly excuse the obvious advantage the Patriots have over the rest of the league. A lot of times it isn't even the calls, it's the non calls. The Patriot O-line can hold all day long and get called once or twice. The league protects their superstars. That goes for Manning, Rodgers as well.

I said this before, you have been conditioned by a league that profits from their fans thinking its a level playing field. If you complain about bad officiating, it's sour grapes and a loser mentality. You've learned the lesson well.

Look, I don't complain about an even fairly called game. If you want to call it tight, call it both ways. You want to let them play, fine as well.

oh yea. Don't forget the infamous personal foul for Jerry Hughes who slapped his own teammate on the head after a sack that extended a patriots drove and allowed them to score last year

Re: Penalties - Bills vs Patriots

My favorite one tonight was when they were so zealous to protect Brady that they whistled it dead before a Bill was even close enough to breathe on him. Then when they realized they cost the Pats a big completion, they just handed them a 15 yard penalty.

Because Rex Ryan was interfering with the sideline judge.

Yeah, I love my fatass coach too.

    Not.

Play should have never counted. Whistle was clearly blown before the catch, thus replay down and NO penalty.

Another f up among the many.

    Two questions...

    How?

The how is easy to negate. The play should have been called dead as the ball was in the air while the whistle blew. Dead ball, replay down. Can't call an interference call on Rex when the play is supposedly over. My theory is the refs knew they ****ed up and Amendola probably would have gotten at least 15 more yards so they create this BS interference penalty to give the Pats a few more yards.

    That is exactly what happened.

They did "the right thing" if you will by ignoring the rules and calling a bogus penalty on Rex. Play should've never counted and no penalty can be assessed on the death ball.

By doing the "right thing" they actually doubled down on the mistakes. Making a mistake to correct another mistake is unbelievably stupid.
