There was a report last week that the Dolphins are talking to defensive end Cameron Wake about an extension that would lower his 2016 cap hit and keep the veteran pass rusher on the roster despite the torn Achilles he suffered last season.

If Wake does stick around, he will be able to act as a mentor to another defensive lineman making the jump from the Canadian Football League to the Dolphins.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have agreed to terms on a three-year deal with Cleyon Laing. Laing has spent the last three years playing for the Toronto Argonauts and recorded 15 sacks in 35 games with the team.

He reportedly had several other offers, including ones from the Jets and Patriots. Per Jackson, the chance to play with and learn from Wake and Ndamukong Suh helped convince Laing to cast his lot with the Dolphins.More..
