    Demarco Murray traded to Titans

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14...nnessee-titans

The Tennessee Titans were finalizing a deal to trade for Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray on Monday.
Murray's agents confirmed the move on Twitter.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Are they or was Chip Kelly in over his head when given the rights to make the roster?

Murray had a tough time in Philly running the ball. He found out it wasn't as easy when he wasn't doing it behind one of the best OL in the game like he was in Dallas.

Eagles getting rid of almost all things Chip.

It had nothing to do with the oline.

Philly tried to turn DeMarco in a stretch back - he isn't. He is at his best when he just finds the hole and hits the line. He's a downhill runner not an outside runner. Square peg, round hole argument. Chip didn't use him properly.

Which is hysterical to me that he traded away McCoy, who actually fit their stretch based offense and then signed two backs with a similar contract amount to replace him. They should have just kept McCoy to begin with and their season would have gone differently.

Also Chip may still be in Philly and not in SF.

Agreed about the running styles. DM is indeed more of a bruiser. But completely disregarding OL play would be foolish IMO. It certainly played a part.

And I agree with you about McCoy. I have no idea why Chip gave him up. But hey .... his stupidity is our gain.

Even Darren McFadden was able to run for almost 1,100 yards with that Cowboys offensive line, after not starting for the first 6 games. The offensive line quality was definitely not insignificant.

They are a complete disaster because of Chip.

    No cap space.
Just traded the player they got for LeSean McCoy for a bag of balls.

Just traded McCoy's replacement for who knows what.

To top it off, they just gave a mediocre QB a boatload of money.

Let's not forget how many times Murray touched the ball in Dallas. They wore him right into the ground.

Thing is Ryan Mathews ran for 500 yards behind that Philly o-line at 5ypc. Which is better than McFaddens 4.6ypc which you're touting Dallas' o-line providing.

Mathews was a better fit for what Philly did on offense than Murray. The issue wasn't the o-line.
