If the Bills are going QB in the second round...

Then they need to try and trade back in the first. We have too many holes that require capable players. If this Paxton Lynch love affair is real, than the Bills need to do whatever they can to pick up another pick in the 2nd or 3rd round. We simply can not afford to burn a pick on a position that isn't a requirement right now.

They should be able to move down 6-9 spots and still get a starting defensive lineman.
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I agree and I think the Bills will target Hackenberg.

More I think about it the more I see it being Lawson/Nkemdiche tonight and Hack tomorrow.
    COMING SOON...

Even if they don't want to draft a QB in the second I think they should move back in the first. I don't think theyre really missing out on any elite talent at 19 that wont be there in the 20's. More picks are more important at this point

I'd be OK with that. I think everyone knows that their jobs hang in the balance of QB, and they're not risking anything with Taylor's agent.

Agree completely ...but the phone must ring with an offer. I'm sure they would gladly back up some spots to acquire extra picks.

They will ALWAYS have "too many holes" to fill.

Next time, select a coach who doesn't create holes to stoke his ego.

No "trading back to the 1st". The memories of Losman and John McCargo are still fresh. The Bills should have like a child safety lock on drafting. "Sorry you team is prohibited from trading up in any round until you qualify for the playoffs."

Re: If the Bills are going QB in the second round...

Saw someone say that Cowboys are looking to trade back up into the first for a QB. No idea if true, but I would not be surprised if teams with established QB's looked at some of these guys late in the first (or second, if they make it that far). Most of the QB's would gain value from sitting at least a year.

I'm good with trading back and getting some extra picks.

I honestly believe that the plan is stick at 19 if Lawson is available or move back 5-6 spots if he's gone to grab some extra picks and take Nkemdiche.

They don't have the cap room to go screwing around.

Now that the 2014 defense is officially been dismantled they have one need: Pass rush.

I can't take any credit for this but there's a mid round guy 4-5th that the Bills are really excited about. I have done a little bit of digging after hearing the rumor and it feels like typical Whaley, if the Bills don't take a QB today or tomorrow, it's likely this guy.

He means trade down, not trade back into.

Well who is it ? Gotta be Cardale Jones, Prescott, or Hogan.

If it were me it would be Driskel.

If I had to guess I'd say Driskel or Brissett. I don't think Prescott fits the 4th-5th round take and I pray it's not Hogan.

Meh prospect with a below average arm and a weird throwing motion.
