Building the front seven in Rex's scheme... school me (us)

What does Whaley mean when he says Lawson starts day one opposite Hughes?

Here is Building the Herds depth chart:

    http://buildingtheherd.com/buffalo-bills-depth-chart/

This has Lawson replacing Manny at SLB with Hughes at Rush OLB. That leaves Corbin Bryant at LDE. Is LDE our biggest need now?

So what is our biggest need now on Rex's D? How would Myles Jack fit in? Ragland? Does Jarran Reed or A'Shawn Robinson fit in?

My though was that Jarran Reed becomes the NT. That a guy like Myles Jack would start over Zach Brown.

Help us understand what positions are our biggest needs in the Rex defense still and where Shaq fits in.

Dareus isn't the nose, he is LE. Right now the starter at NT would be Kyle Williams if we were to look back at Pettine's 3-4 D.
The last time the Bills made the playoffs was 1999.

I won't school anyone, but this article with pics might. Got to start by forgetting Fairbanks-Bullough classic 3-4 (the old Bills Smerlas NT, 4 real lb setup).

Forgot my thought....biggest need is DT/NT as mentioned to slide Dareus to end. And you can see that the ends aren't real ends except sometimes, but often still tackles, except sometimes, and the "olb"'s are still ends except sometimes......all the "sometimes" being dependent on playcall,

I thought this was a real good article.

I had thought that the plan was to have TJ Barnes play NT and Dareus be the LDE. TJ certainly has the physical attributes to play NT...But I guess it's all up in the air:

Could still be the plan, who knows ?

I'd prefer a few of the available DT/NT's to Barnes, even down to Nile Lawrence-Stample in the late rounds, but maybe they plan on a batch of rotational linemen. For that matter no telling Barnes won't win a job in camp to give them that flexibility. 6'6" seems tall for an NT, but then again Ryan's version isn't traditional.
