One piece of the 2014 defense that no one really talks about is Brandon Spikes. He made a big impact on run D. If Ragland is a slightly more athletic version of Spikes I don't think anyone's going to lose sleep if he comes off the field on 3rd and 15.

Watched his highlights. Just. Wow. Honestly more excited about this pick than any from last year, and Lawson as well. He really looks like a difference maker. He has to have negatives if he lasted this long though. Anyone know?

This guy named Darryl Talley just Tweeted that he thinks the Bills just drafted the best linebacker since Biscuit.

Chad Reuter, draft analyst at NFL.com, has this: "Ragland was a steal in the mid-second round, even with losing a fourth-round pick in the trade-up, as he'll lead the Bills defense for 10 years."

He was a monster. I have said it before and I say it again, we are not under a Flutie curse, we are under a Tampa curse. The third quarter of that game was the single worst 15 minutes in Bills history. They were 7-4 and rolling to the playoffs powered by a D that was going and talented. They were keeping Tampa close and Cowart had just sacked King like three straight times. Then he got hurt, then about five other starters got hurt. The crippling injury bug infected us that game and we have never nixed it. The culture changed to. Before the colts game the next week, Wade told the ABC lady neither of these teams is going to the playoffs and so the loser mindset was established.
Anyways back to Cowart, damn shame he got hurt. He was on course to being a first ballot hall of games.
