    Re: 2016 Health and Fitrness

My weight hasn't changed, but I think that's cause my muscle mass is growing. My arms and shoulders are much more toned. Still got some flab in my gut in chest but overall I feel better and look better.

That thread of mine got off topic and I didn't like it. I needed to reign it in.

I've dropped about 30 pounds sine the start of the year. All because of fishing,

    I guess I lied. Last time I weighed myself, 198. Now I'm 195. Alright!

    Re: 2016 Health and Fitrness

I picked up a book called Tactical Barbell and I really like the routines in it. Very straightforward and simple. I was never much of a weightlifter but I'm enjoying it and I've stayed with it longer then I have before. I'm likely moving soon so I'm hoping to get back into boxing/martial arts when I do, and it will be nice to have a better strength base.

It's the simplest thing imaginable. Basically pick compound lifts like the deadlift, squat, bench press, and/or weighted pullup. Test your 1 rep max at the beginning, then it has two three week plateaus.

I'm up to one in each hand now.
Just one? It's a joke among my family from my sister's wedding.I had two beers in each hand, and went back up to the bar for two more. The bartender was like... seriously??

    Re: 2016 Health and Fitrness

I'm moving and commuting so little time for the gym. Home and hotel maintenance workouts. Full body, two times a week. High reps, three work sets after warm-up. Deadlift, bench, military press, pull-ups, low rows. 30 minute cardio and ab routine two days.

Took this week off as my sister and brother came to visit, but we did a lot of high mountain walking and I did my normal morning Tai Chi. I liked the walking as it's on uneven ground, uphill, downhill and works more of the small muscles in the hips and core. Also helps work on balance and is great cardio. I will incorporate it into my routine.

I'm 5' 9 1/2" and currently @180. Hope to lose the winter weight over the summer and get down to 165. Then start building again come October.

Yeah, tonight is my workout night, but I have a term paper due tomorrow so that's coming first. I wouldn't mind a good workout now....

Hide any animals you have. I doubt you have any sheep or you would really be in trouble.
