What in the name of Willis Chicken Mc-Nugget-Gehee?

I remember when the injury bug waited until the exhibition season too strike this team.

Seriously though, this is bad news for this kid. Hope he recovers but I also hope we don't press him into service before that shoulder completely heals.

The Russ Brandon led buffalo bills. Excelling with "value picks".

We'll see. A player is not defined by one season, let alone half a season (to play or unable to play). We'll see if Lawson is worth the price the Bills paid for, which is 1st round pick plus automatically 8 games not played due to injury.

Donahoe got played by Willie McGahee's agent so the Bills invested a 1st round pick plus 16 games not played to get him. Worth it? McGahee went on to have an average career, a solid starter, not a star, not a bust. I suspect Lawson may fall into the same category.

I think we should compare the people in here complaining that we drafted Lawson with a possible injury issue to the people in the Watkins thread complaining that we didn't draft Beckham... who missed half his rookie season.

WNY fans have a default setting that is pushed whenever the Bills are mentioned... It's a red button.

    it's all they have.

I wonder how many 1st round draft selections never even make the starting lineup yet some people want to act like the sky is falling because a surgery the Bills knew was going to happen is happening sooner vs later.

Seriously? Anyone ever think think this kid might need some kind of coverage to pay for the surgery and the Bills were trying to help the situation?

Having the surgery done now was a wise decision and so was drafting Lawson IMO.

Well, I don't really think that's a good draft philosophy.

Well, we didn't draft him just to fix his shoulder,

A healthy Lawson could become an imediate difference maker that impacts the team going forward into the future.

This may well be true in 2017 after we get through 2016.

I disagree. This team is still built to be able to run a 43 variation and be successful. Lawson replaces Mario, Hughes on the other end. Washington and Dareus in the middle. Ragland replaces Spikes...you remember him, the 'two down' guy that manned the middle for the #4 defense in the league, right? Preston on the outside, and they are set at corner (except for depth). The only 'holes' would be another OLB to replace Bradham and a safety.
