I'll start the rumor here: AJ McCarron?

A Buffalo friend of mine were talking about auto paint finish problems, and when done, we chatted about this and that about the Bills. He mentioned CIN's back-up AJ McCarron.

CIN recently signed UB ex-QB Licata, so I searched and found this:

Two playoff contenders reportedly tried to claim Zach Mettenberger. The Giants and the Bengals were also interested in the tall quarterback

McCarron did fair in filling in after Dalton's freak injury late in the season. He was PO'd with his slot in the draft. Here's a scouting report:

I thought you might be able to infer from my post what I think of the idea of bringing in a middling QB like McCarron.

Eh - you think you can fling snot and there will be no objection? Your thoughts amount to self-stroking and the dissing of posters and then attempting to ask those you attack to wipe your ass off so you can feel good about yourself.

The idea of my post - again - was to spark discussion about McCarron. I can understand folks saying no issue, folks saying it was a dumb post, but you chose to to make a personal slam.

Stop weaseling. A simple "sorry for the personal attack" would suffice.

I would take McCarron in a second, I like the kid. Not nearly enough to shower him with money (still too unproven) but I'd certainly be willing to trade for him while he's still cheap.

I just don't see a place for him here unless you want to carry 4 qb's so it's not worth trading anything unless they want McCoy.

I don't mind McCarron any, he's part of the huge maybe subset of QB's, but I don't see the Bills cutting Taylor, Manuel or Jones loose.

I honestly think McCarron beats out Mettenberger for a spot, I don't think Mettenberger is any good. For that matter, I think Licata has a reasonable chance to beat out Mettenberger too.

I don't love AJ mccarron. Bills are dedicated to a different qb set. So mccarron if he comes in needs an entirely new offense for him.

The Bills won't do anything else at QB this year...they just won't. Period. What you see now is what the Bills will go into the season with at the position...that is unless one or more gets put on IR at some point.
