All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

TBN Carucci : Bills at DB: Seymour could be a true sleeper
Re: TBN Carucci : Bills at DB: Seymour could be a true sleeper
x-era, do we need all your points to be a playoff team? or can we get by with 50% of your points happening? I view your points as we have to hit them all to be a playoff team and that's scary because its hard to go 100% on that list. curious on your take
Blanton was great at ND but hasn't done much in the NFL.
I'm not sure what happened to him. He started 13 games in 2014 and was the leading tackler on the #11 defense, but got benched the next year and released after. I don't watch enough Viking games.
Did the Bills offense get out of the bottom of the league ? Did we have a QB actually visit the pro bowl ?? That's a change for the better, at least acknowledge we got better (#1 rushing as well).
Are you daft? We added Tyrod, McCoy and Clay. It wasn't the same guys as the year before. It was a huge talent influx. This year, we have virtually the same guys on O that we had last year. Nothing significant in terms of added talent. We didn't really lose any talent either, so the results will be about the same. I'm not particularly worried about the O- while they weren't spectacular last year, they were good enough to win more often than not. It was the D that held them back.
I'm merely stating that expecting significant improvement with the same guys is unrealistic.
^ It was their first year together as a unit. It's not crazy to think improvement should come with more familiarity and solidification.
People keep saying this, but when has it actually happened? When has either the O or the D improved significantly from one year to the next without adding talent?

Actually, the entire season has not happened yet.
How are you sure it WON'T happen? Or how are you sure the Bills are doomed for another futile ineffectual season? I'm no scientist, but THAT hasn't happened yet either, has it?
There is really no point talking to about these subjects. I mean, you are like broken record about it, and never really seem to respect contrary opinions. Everything's static, and that's IT, right? Talent was added last year, yet we got the same spiel from you. There are PLENTY OF VARIABLES in play always...lots of them unforeseen.
What I want to know is why you don't lay a ton of cash against the Bills this year. Why aren't you doing that?

Yes they added some excellent talent last off-season on offense, but there was a 3-way competition for QB which hindered TT and injuries wracked them. They all have a year in Roman's system and Mills will have a full off-season with the team, instead of being added late in the season and having to catch up.
As for the defense, we'll see. This is Ryan's make or break year.
I've seen it, looking ahead with my arcane magicks. I'm not one for spoilers, but I'll share one positive thing for people to look forward to with delight :
I hope the teams plays great and they make the playoffs.
Well, I hope they make it rather than have to break it. But if they blow, it needs to promptly change. The proof will be in the pudding. Like I've said before, I can deal with a competitive losing team with upside or at least desire, but I can't deal with flailing mediocre anymore.
