It's official: Pro Bowl to Orlando for 2017

They will play at the Camping World Stadium (nee Orlando Stadium, Tangerine Bowl, Florida Citrus Bowl, Orlando Citrus Bowl).

This is a good move by the NFL. Easier and cheaper to get to than Hawaii. Much better opportunities for time-honored fan traditions like getting blotto, fighting, barfing, and other mayhem.

I think they should keep naming players to it but just skip the game itself. It's awful.

The players wouldn't allow that. The way it is, Player A feigns this or that injury. Then Player B gets dubbed. Boilerplate contract language kicks in - Player B gets X dollars for making the Pro Bowl.

This sham has been operating for years.

It's returning to the conference format as well.

I have to say I enjoy the games, just to see a little more football. In context it's fun for me to see the players just enjoying themselves. The quality of the football isn't fierce, but I don't really care, I never watch it expecting fierce anyway. It's their schmuck around reward game.

I used to feel that way until they started having the Pro Bowl BEFORE the Super Bowl.

I don't need this Mickey Mouse farce of a game the week before I'm anticipating the Super Bowl. The only way I'll ever watch it again is if they have it a week or two AFTER the Super Bowl. THAT'S when I'd be staved enough to watch it...and even then only maybe and out of the corner of my eye. We'd see some players from the Super Bowl in the Pro Bowl that way, too.

I know it's gone back to AFC vs NFC, but I can't imagine what knucklehead thought it a good idea to have Team Rice vs Team Irvin. Holy cripes.

Even a lot of the players want nothing to do with it anymore. That's how you find guys like Tyrod Taylor in the pro Bowl this year, don't ya know. What a joke.
