All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Sabres acquire rights to Vesey for 3rd Rounder in 2016
The Buffalo Sabres have acquired the rights to forward Jimmy Vesey from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2016 Draft, the Sabres announced. The 2016 Hobey Baker Award winner - as the NCAA's best player - was originally selected by the Predators in 2012, but made headlines this season after stating he would not sign with the club, electing to become a free agent on Aug. 15.Vesey has spent the past four years playing at Harvard, where he posted his second-most productive season this year collecting 24 goals and 46 points in 33 games. He told reporters in May that he felt his hometown Boston Bruins would be among the teams on his list of potential places to sign. The Sabres will now have exclusive negotiating rights with Vesey on a potential contract.
Re: Sabres acquire rights to Vesey for 3rd Rounder in 2016
could the sabres talk to him at all prior to the trade? they are capped by rookie deal on him. So it really comes down to where Vesey wants to be. having eichel is a huge benefit to maybe gauging if he would want to sign. I don't know if that's allowed with the CBA, but you have to imagine the sabres had some intel on likelihood of signing.
