Also, Arthur staple who covers new York sports said the sabres will also be going after okposo. I think stammer is the sabres primary target, okposo is also very much on their radar should stammer sign elsewhere

That's kinda my gut as well. Sadly, being I live in red wing country.

Everything I've read so far seems to point towards Detroit, Buffalo, and Toronto. However everything has been purely speculatory and not from a source. Tampas ex general manager that was fired right after drafting him had Boston in there instead of the Sabres, but again this was just his speculation.

I have also read that the Stamkos camp wanted to keep this whole thing out of the media, so it is going to be tough to gain anything of substance as far as rumors go. Any potential leakers risk being eliminated for putting anything out there. Buckle up, because it's going to be a crazy week...

luckily only a week to go. this has a brad Richards feel to it a few years ago where we ended up with (leino, ugh) someone else. but okposo probably is better fit as winger and cheaper. we have centermen.

If I'm GM™, I make generous offers to both Stamkos and Okposo. However, it's 1st come 1st serve... The other offer then gets removed from the table. That way we're not left 2 or 3 levels behind while we wait for decisions.

problem with that is both guys are being heavily courted. they aren't take it or leave it guys and you don't want to make the offer that blows them out of the water. you want to given them a fair deal. stamkos would be fun, but I wouldn't be devastated if we didn't get him. if we can sign Vesey and okposo, the team starts to look nicely balanced in my opinion and put up points. and they have depth that will trickle possibly down to the fourth line.

So unless he takes a massive discount, it's Buffalo or broke. Cost of living in Toronto is very high, like crazy amounts right now, versus Buffalo which is relatively inexpensive.
