I think you pay big for your guys who produced. When you pay huge amounts like Chicago, they won cups and it's a thank you to those guys and what they've done for team. For pure free agent a huge contract that will make it hard to keep risto and eichel and reinhart, you essentially put the pressure to win as is within 2 years. And if it doesn't work, you are massively rebuilding as you wait for contracts to come undone.

I I think stamkos scoring was intriguing, but he's had some big injuries and the Sabres can take a run at some rfa for some money either terms that may keep the team together longer and give them space to work with. I don't think it is a hockey loss of supplemented correctly. For sure it is a marketing miss.
