I'm not a huge fan of this language. Maybe I'm overreacting, but. The Sabres have reached out to Devon Levi, and he's "thinking it over"

Am I happy that Levi is in the Blue & Gold? YES.
Honestly, I WISH that he had started with Rochester and not get thrown right into the Sabres' playoff chase; however, I get that with the way the ELC is structured, he wouldn't be able to. Rochester is in the playoff hunt as well, but they are in a MUCH better position to make the playoffs than Buffalo. With the way the AHL playoffs are structured, the top 5 teams in the North Division(the Amerks' division)get in. As of now, they're 4th. Levi should have gone down to Rochester and get acclimated to the pro game.

Sep thread worthy?
Ryan Johnson watch officially on as the college season ended last night
Looks like Dylan Cozens and Owen Power are going to be playing some more hockey after the season wraps up; they're likely to be added to Canada's World Championship team. If it happens, they are going to be playing alongside Adam Fantilli and Connor Bedard(among others).
Sabres sign Russian winger Viktor Neuchev to entry-level contract
Neuchev scored 40 goals while playing junior hockey back in Russia.
The Buffalo Sabres have signed another one of their prospects from their 2022 NHL Draft class with third-round pick Viktor Neuchev agreeing to his three-year entry level deal. The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Viktor Neuchev to a three-year, entry-level deal. pic.twitter.com/KmXq4AVFBk

Owen Power is one of the three nominees for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's rookie of the year.
Granted, it's nice to see Power in the conversation...BUT the Calder is likely to go to Seattle's Matty Beniers. And he deserves that honor.

Berniers was waaaay better than Power. Hopefully the light turns on for him next season.
I don't know +10 on that ****ty defensive team is pretty good. Specially playing almost 24 min a night.
Larry Pilut with the game 5 OT winner and the Amerks come back from an O-2 series deficit and advance
Olivier Nadeau assigned to Amerks as his Q season ends.

He had a lot of rough patches and played light against tough teams. He was bolstered by the team around him most nights, although I agree he showed improvement towards the end of the season. He needs more confidence, needs to feel like he belongs in this league. He should have that now. He was still playing timid at times, afraid to shoot the puck on net, thinking he was supposed to pass it to a teammate. He also needs to gain some upper body strength. It's coming. He'll be what he was supposed to. Berniers, however, was lightning right from the start.

Tuch and the development of Tage make Eichel a non factor. Sabres way better off.
See anyone on this list you'd like to add to the defense?
Could get Borgen back? He's doing quite well I've heard. Or Matt Dumba as a free agent.Originally Posted by May 11, 2023
