Mike Tirico Leaves Monday Night Football

That's a shame because I liked how Tirico worked with Gruden. The best broadcasting team out there IMO. Mostly because of Gruden maybe, but I still liked Mike Tirico there a lot with him. The new play-by-play guy will be Sean McDonough.

I don't think this is recent news, but I just found out about it.

I agree. I'm not a Tirico fan, but I greatly enjoyed them together.

On the ancient MNF broadcasts, I didn't like Cosell, Meredith, or Gifford individually, but I loved listening to them work together, greatest sports broadcast team of alltime imho, wish everyone could have experienced them through a whole season live.

The affable, low-key, light Tirico was perfect with the wired Gruden.

Never liked Tirico or Gruden. Won't be missed. Rinse, spit, repeat. Tirico was always uninspiring and all he ever did was pander to Gruden's pompus stupidity. Of course Feldspar would like that detritus.

OK, Swiper gets a cookie for making me look up the word 'detritus'.
